FINMA (Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority)
FINMA is Switzerland’s independent financial-markets regulator. It also regulates distributors and insurance intermediaries. It is charged with protecting creditors, investors and policyholders. The Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier is a public law entity that monitors professionals and products in the Luxembourg financial sector. It supervises, regulates, licenses, provides reporting, conducts onsite controls and imposes sanctions. It is also responsible for promoting transparency, simplicity and fairness on the markets for financial products and services and oversees the application of financial consumer protection law as well as the law on the combatting of money laundering and the financing of terrorism.
